Biogram 2 app for iPhone and iPad

Biogram is part of an exciting new program to use the iPhone to study photo-sharing behavior and biometric measures, such as heart rate. (Biometric = biological data or in this case, data from your body). We would like to learn how social media and sharing biometrics might relate. We are studying how sharing heart rate enhances or changes the experience of photo sharing and social community. Even though we ask to share health data, including daily activity, this is not a study about physical fitness or wellbeing.

The Biogram app allows you to share a photo and also tag the photo with your heart rate. We will use surveys and phone sensor data to collect and track your Apple Health data and heart rate. Data that you share through the app as part of a research study will help researchers understand how heart rate and other biometrics might augment the social media experience.

We also want to learn how heart rates shared within a photo-sharing community could help people relate and learn about each other. We will study the photos, comments, heart rate and other health data as it relates to creating a social community with Biogram.
